Judging Criteria
How Entries Are Evaluated
For technologies focused on time and labor management, compensation, payroll and unified HCM ecosystems that drive measurable business impact.
Criterion 01

Innovation & Intentional AI

Evaluates the innovation, design and creativity of the technology. Judges will look for agentic AI capabilities and how the solution delivers intentional, high-priority applications that solve real business problems rather than superficial features. Must indicate key differentiators that make the product better or more valuable than other market solutions.

Design & Differentiation

Criterion 02

Effectiveness & Measurable Impact

Focuses on measurable benefits. The score is heavily weighted on the Client Case Study — assessing the degree of effectiveness and the impact of the solution. Must include concrete supporting data such as retention rates, cost per hire or engagement scores directly attributed to the system.

Heavily Weighted — Case Study Strongly Preferred

Criterion 03

Product Demo & Integration (pre-recorded preferred)

Based on the selection committee’s interpretation of the pre-recorded product demo. Evaluates the demo component and overall product satisfaction. The demonstration must show how the technology uses data across the entire employee lifecycle to offer tailored support and how well the product integrates with existing platforms, as platform expansion and integration are continuous trends.

15-Minute Pre-Recorded Demo Mandatory

Criterion 04

Sustainability & Culture

Determines the sustainability of the organization and its product. Evaluates the company behind the technology — reviewing customer service, how the firm cares for its people, social responsibility, community support and external ratings on G2, TrustRadius, Capterra, Software Advice and Glassdoor.

Company & Culture Review
